QUIZ HUB: Because Studying Shouldn’t Feel Like Filing Taxes

An easy to use study aid, build in ServiceNow that also offers mobile compatibility through ServiceNow Agent.

Ever stared at a ServiceNow certification guide and thought, “Wow… this is dryer than a compliance manual written in Comic Sans”? Same. That’s why I built Quiz Hub:  a custom ServiceNow app that turns studying into something slightly less soul-sucking.

Quiz Hub lets you:

  • Import practice quizzes from JSON files (yes, JSON – because we’re professionals).

  • Take real-time multiple-choice quizzes inside ServiceNow, complete with explanations.

  • Crowdsource feedback on bad questions, so nobody else has to suffer through that one typo that makes an answer look like Klingon.

  • Manage everything in one tidy little scoped app.

And the best part? It actually works. (Most days.)

How to Get Quiz Hub Running (Without Crying)

  1. Install the app

    • Fork the repo: https://github.com/JBMatthews/ServiceNowQuizHub

    • In ServiceNow Studio, go to Import from Source Control.

    • Point it at your fork and connect with a GitHub PAT.

  2. Import a quiz

    • Navigate to Quiz Hub → Import Quiz (JSON).

    • Upload one of the provided files (csa_practice_quiz.json or cad_practice_quiz.json).

  3. Take a quiz

    • Open the Quiz module.

    • Select your quiz, answer some questions, and instantly know if you’re a genius or if coffee #3 was a mistake.

  4. Leave feedback

    • Find a bad question? Use the Question Feedback page to suggest edits or deactivate it. Democracy, but for quizzes.

Why Bother?

Because learning on ServiceNow shouldn’t feel like you’re debugging your soul. Quiz Hub keeps it sharp, minimal, and just geeky enough to make certification prep a little more fun.
